the regina spektor show ended up being pretty good - musically. the show was a little boring however as the only words spoken to the crowd in between songs were a fast “thanks” or “thank you”  and then right back into singing.

i guess i just enjoy the conversation in between songs - the “getting to know me” stuff. ah well. maybe next time gina.

it was weird also - the last concert i had been to at the Nokia Theater was Ryan Adams last year (Oct 11, 2008) and all night - i just kept being reminded of that show. the excitement of walking up to the building - even finding my seats and just looking around the place made me almost sad? i guess i am just realizing that i actually miss seeing a ryan adams show for the first time in 3 years…

francine: My morning window…the sun does something quite amazing with my eyes each morning.  It feels like these tiny sun fingers reach out of the horizon and flick and warm my lids gently open.  It is unlike anything I’ve felt before.  Not like the disturb of a sudden flash or the alarm of an accompanying traffic of nature gearing up for the day.  This is a blissful moment that I always seem to forget is coming.  This is a lovely dance and a dip with my hair brushing the floor.  It touches my heart.  For someone whose home has always been dark and cave-like for many, many years, this is definitely my new way of life.  Sun…touch me all you want.  i need this. so glad you shared it. something about this speaks to me. in that place… and then my phone rang at work.
